1957 – Messerschmitt KR200

The KR200 came from an idea by Eng. Fritz Fend when he visited, in 1953, the German factory of Messerschmitt planes (a fighter aircraft widely used in World War II) and saw that he could use their fuselages, which were in excess, to make this vehicle (Tricycle).

The KR200 appeared on the market in 1955, just like several microcars that emerged in the European market in the same decade, with low-displacement engines and low consumption, due to the oil crisis in Suez.

Besides making use of the fuselage, the vehicle also has a steering handle (muche) and gauges from the airplane, and the driving itself is central, reminiscent of an authentic cockpit.
