1929 – Ford A Tudor
When a car manages to reach the top of the best-selling ranking in the world, while at the same time revolutionizing the industry, making, for the first time, a consumer object accessible to the masses, we have the automobile of the 20th century, and it was up to the Model A to replace nothing less than the owner of that title, the Ford Model T.
If creating an icon of this magnitude is already so difficult, repeating the feat is an even greater challenge, but around 1926 its sales had fallen by more than 250,000 units.
The market was calling for a new generation of Fords.
Meanwhile, once the replacement of the T was decided, it took only six months for the Model A to reach production.
The Model A had the same name as the brand's first car, from 1903. A sign of the times was that it was more complex than the T: it had 6,800 parts compared to the T’s “only” 5,000.
In this case, we present a Ford A Tudor (corruption of two-door), the first mass-produced car to come with tinted windows (an extra in its manufacture), with this example being one of them, unique at a national level.
