1949 – Allard M1

This model was manufactured in London by the Allard Motor Company, between 1947 and 1950, having produced only 499 units, and currently only 60 are known.
It was considered the first civilized sports car by the brand itself.
Besides being quite popular with the general public, this model was also very popular in the rally world; four M models competed in the 1948 Monte Carlo Rally, winning the team prize, and in 1952, the winner was an Allard P-1 Saloon (as the use of open cars was prohibited at that time).
It becomes a quite agile car due to its very light chassis and its entirely aluminum body.
It is worth mentioning that the spy Dusko Popov had a car of this model during his travels during World War II, often in Portugal, more specifically in Estoril.
