Távora-Varosa Tour
(IG - Terras de Cister / DOC - Távora-Varosa)

It is located northeast of the Dão region, bordering the Douro region. The vineyards are situated between 500 and 800 meters in altitude, characterized by an extreme climate with a strong continental influence. Granite soils prevail, with some areas of schist.
Due to its morphological characteristics of a high-altitude, narrow valley, the small Távora-Varosa region is especially suited for the production of sparkling wines, having been one of the first national wine regions to be demarcated for DOC sparkling wine production.
